Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude is a Canadian actor best known for the fantasy television series Shadowhunters on Freeform and the Venevision Telenovelas Cosita linda as well as Voltea Pa' Que Te Enamores. A dancer and model by trade Toubia has also had the success she has achieved in both areas. Born in Montreal She was brought up in Texas. She has always enjoyed performing. From the time she was a young child she was trained to dance in various forms. In her teens, she took part in beauty contests. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia rose to fame when, in 2008 she was a contestant in Nuestra Belleza Latina season two of Univision's beauty competition. In an episode from Telemundo's television show Aurora In the episode, she portrayed an receptionist. In 2015, she appeared in the action-drama Tattooed Love, her debut film. In the film, for her role as Shadowhunters, Shadowhunters, Toubia was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi in 2017 and 2018.
