Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in the style that is his own. The singer's career has taken her all over the world, from Broadway to European events and clubs, to even the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Her birthplace is Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her music career singing and playing the piano in church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship within the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice,"Stalk You A House 12 was only released in Japan. It's been remixed numerous times and is the mainstay in her live performance. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005, she was employed as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her about being the choir leader of the stage production. Sunshine received national attention for several performances throughout the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was chosen to sing as part of Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
